The South Texas heat isn't slowing us down.
This week we're planting varieties that were chosen because they can handle our long, hot summers.

One of our wonderful community members sent these seeds, and I couldn't wait to get them in the ground.
These cucumbers thrive in hot weather and keep producing long after many traditional cucumbers give up.
We'll be following them from seed all the way to harvest.
š Cream Sausage Tomatoes
These beautiful paste tomatoes are known for their creamy yellow color and meaty texture.
They're perfect for fresh eating, roasting, sauces, and preserving.
I'm excited to see how they perform in a South Texas summer.
š Mountain Sweet Yellow Watermelon
A yellow watermelon always surprises people.
Same sweetness.
Different color.
This heirloom variety has been around for generations, and we'll find out together how well it handles our Texas heat.
